Artist's Comments "Too much blue will kill youuuu..."  I'm not such a fan of Sailor Moon anymore, but I used to when I was younger...and I'm a very nostalgic person. So... say 'hello' to Sailor Mercury, my favourite Senshi! I've always liked her the most, smart girls rule!  No, I think the main reason was because her dominant colour is blue, that is my favourite one... even if, actually, I really got sick of looking at so much blue while I was colouring it! But what do you expect from a girl that has blue eyes, blue hair, blue outfit and has the power over the water? XDMeh...I just wanted to change subject, once in a while. ^^ Anyway, I almost have to consider this pic as a speed painting, because I scanned the sketch last evening and by midnight I had already finished with shading and lightening! O.O I usually am not so fast! Today I only filled the background and added the bubbles (er...can you tell that those are bubbles? As for this drawing, I see it as another example of your willingness to get better. I try not to repeat myself too often, but one can't help but compare and contrast what three years has done for you. It's great to see the level of progression between the two submissions, and it only makes me wonder what you'll do in three more years' time (maybe another Mercury drawing will be in order then
I like Mercury's sense of combative spirit here as well. You did well with trying to create a look that shows off a fighting side of the normally bookworm-ish personality of Ami. I would love to comment on the pose itself, but once again, I'm no expert on anatomy. That said, I think it looks good for a motion pose, and I like the hands. Nice job once again on the folds, too, especially with the boots and skirt. Lastly, the bubbles add a nice touch and sort of acts like a link between the character and background.
I really hope I'm not annoying you with these lengthy posts, but I do like to give credit when it's justified. I also seem to like your action drawings a lot, so it's nice to see you working on this. Once again, a great job.
